AnaCal: Analytic Calibration for Perturbation Estimation#

AnaCal is a framework for analytic shear estimation on galaxy images, designed for sub-percent accuracy shear inference with minimal computational cost. It bridges various analytic shear estimators that have been developed or are anticipated to be created in the future.

Currently supported analytic shear estimators:

  • FPFS — Fixed moments method using shapelets (GitHub)

  • NGMIX — Gaussian model fitting (GitHub)
